Introducing…
Posted by tata on Saturday Sep 6, 2008 Under Kids and FamilyI’d like to introduce y’all to my family. Brace yourselves.
My oldest brother (and believe you me, it gives me great joy emphasizing the word "oldest" - paybacks for being rejected a drive here or there when he got his license! Yes, I’m still holding a grudge from 1987.), Bones, came in for a visit from Spokane this week. He moved there about 3 years ago, while I was still living in Florida, so I haven’t seen him for about 7 years or better.
We met at Mom’s farm for a barbeque on Wednesday night. Big Rob brought his girls, Taylor and Storm, and Husband and I came with our kids. It was the first time Bones met Husband and our son.
I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
You cannot know how difficult it was to achieve this picture.
My husband is the oldest of 7 in his family, but his family is not crazy, so they are much easier to coordinate and photograph than my family.
I took over 100 pictures with my camera and these following are the best of the bunch. I’m still waiting from Big Rob and Bones for copies of the pictures they took with their cameras.
This one’s a bit fuzzy, but it’s the only one wherein no one is making impatient faces. It’s prolly my favorite of the bunch.
My brothers and I. Damn, when did we get old?! Just look at all that gray in Bones’ facial hair!
Note this picture of Big Rob and I from 2006.

Q: Which of these do you think best reflects the true selves of Big Rob and his oldest daughter, Taylor?
A: The one on the right.
Lots of good-looking people in my family!

[...] the pink went with the black theme, that’s one combination I wouldn’t of thought of. Introducing was one of my favourite post as it introduced her extended family and I have always found it [...]

@Hannah and choppersgirl, y’all go ‘head and laugh. My “little” family is only about 100 times louder than Husband’s very large family! Sure, they may have been rowdy then, but my family is *still* rowdy!

LOL OHH Tata… If you could only have seen your hubby’s crew when we were all kids. I have to agree with Hannah. OHHH the things that hubby of yours and his siblings did. And usually we ALL and I mean ALL ended up in on it. I think we were all a lil Crazy. (come to think of it.. I am prolly the craziest of the bunch.)

@tashabud, my brother is single and childless - it’s his job to visit! It was nice to see him. I hope he visits more frequently.
We did have a nice time. Thanks, all!

It’s about time you two got together. Seven years not seeing family members is way too long. Hehe. I have an excuse for me. Most of my family live in the Philippines, which is too far to visit and too expensive as well. Your pictures show that it was a good reunion. tashabuds last blog post…My Dear Daughter
