Fellow Bloggers and Blog Readers

Posted by tata on Sunday Nov 9, 2008 Under blogs, web tools

For several months now, Feedburner has not emailed my blog posts to my subscribers. I have requested help at the Google help group - as have literally dozens of others - with no resolution. So I wanted to suggest to my readers that wanted the posts in their inbox try out Feed My Inbox. No sign up is required, just confirm your subscription by email. I’m trying the service out, too and will let you know if I encounter any problems.

For bloggers, there is a service I just discovered (thanks to Tampa Pirate) that may drive some new traffic to your blog. rssHugger is essentially a blog directory wherein all feeds have a fair shot at being in the Top 100 since the feeds are all reset at the beginning of each month. Check it out!

I still seem to be getting my Feedburner feeds via email. I must be one of the lucky ones.

Still, I’m with the Google Reader crowd, though.

@witchypoo and Talina - I also use Google Feed Reader for my subscriptions (and love it!) , but several of my readers were subscribing by email. Since Feedburner isn’t working for me(and dozens of other people) anymore, I’d like to offer those readers an alternative. http://www.feedmyinbox.com is the alternative that appealed to me the most.

I am with Witchypoo, google feed reader is awesome, it keeps my inbox clutter free but it also keeps me up to date when my bloggy friends post a new entry.

I love my google feedreader, keeep it in an open tab of Firefox at all times. You can even get colour co-ordinated feed icons these days. I’ve been having loads of fun with them. Yes, they come in pink, and some? Are heart shaped. Really.

Hiya, Tata. Thanks for the happy birthday wishes and thanks for commenting on my blog. I’m glad you have your own life list, I think everyone should have one. Maybe I’m the life list messiah, if that isn’t to sacrilegious to say. Anyway keep on your list and let me know when you cross off another item!
